let me introduce you...

to a few of nicklaus' friends.

yep.

that's 28 heads.

4 kids called off right before the party.

we had so much fun.

assemble a lego creator kit race, everyone had their own.

team relay races with bigger than life sized legos.

tallest tower competition with mini marshmellows and toothpics.

but the favorite was the impromptu activity we had while 28 excited littles waited for pizza...

first one to complete 3 laps around the house gets to choose their piece of pizza from the box.

congratulations, will.

surprised

middle placed third of all the boys in first grade for mileage club this year.

he ran 42 1/2 miles to earn it.

i knew he was going to get it.

he didn't.

i just kept encouraging him to do his best.

his reaction was priceless.

shock.

pride.

joy.

2nd year in a row.

he has so much fun out there, he makes it look easy.

maybe that is the key.

not the grey, black, & green phase charlie is going through.

not the croc obsession of the middle.

but the no shoes again thing we seem to have going on.

grab your shoes, sam.

ok, he responds as he is heading out the door.

i follow after i have turned off all of the lights.

charlie to drama kids.

off to judi's to check out the toasty new paint.

open the van door.

really?!?

a stop at the walgreens on the way to church yields us two different sizes sponge bob sandals.

one is too small.

they hurt.

hence, no shoes, again, for the 3 year old.

i guess i have to take the fail because i am the mom.

it is my responsibility to make sure all of my children are clothed & fed on a daily basis.

when asked where they were he replied

i just didn't need them.

sometimes

DSC_6122

they all get along.

not just the big and the little.

or the middle and the little.

but all three.

no fighting,

bickering,

tattling,

jockeying to be first

or the best.

just being.

getting along.

enjoying one another.

not making a momma crazy...

sometimes.
