one of the coolest things we have done.
they are looking at the american falls.
heading into the mist of niagara falls.
they loved it.
the force of the river hitting the water at the bottom of the falls creates a strong wind that blows the mist at you.
spooked sam the first time.
too exhilarating to stand back with mom though.

his eyes.
late start + first trip to the sag + too pretty to leave the lake=
no nap.
he was happy to stay.
fishing off the dock,
jumping into the lake,
reconnecting with old friends,
meeting new ones.
not an everyday occurrence.
he usually asks for his naps during the day...
just not today.

we let all the littles stay up a bit later tonight.
we wanted them to see the lightening bugs.
they don't even make an appearance until 45 minutes after the littlest's scheduled bed time.
he was a trooper.
we sprayed them down with off.
they ran around in the yard at dusk.
they were so excited to be outside late.
the best parts...
the first sightings.
the looks of joy.
the squeals as they tried to catch them.
this is what summer is all about.
