home for an ob appointment today.

ms. wendy gives the house a deep clean over the summer.

the boys bathroom is scrubbed shiny every wednesday...

until they get home from school.

today it sparkled.

untouched by little boy hands.

clean...

but lonely.

my right hand man today.

we made blueberry skewers dipped in yogurt.

froze them for refreshing treats.

on to some chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

no one else interested in helping...

so the beaters went to lauren & mariah.

drove to lake placid this morning.

took cobble hill by storm.

just as tom & beth remembered.

this was the trail they hiked as kids.

macie was our trail guide.

sam was amazing.

not an easy hike for a 4 year old.

lots of rock scrambling and tricky footing.
beautiful view of mirror lake and the town at the top.

rented a boat today.

there was tubing.

sam's first solo run.

fishing off the rocks.

jumping off of boulders...

both high on the list this year.

 

he started swinging.

then to seeing how high he could go.

to bailing out.

to standing.

the most i ever did on a swing was twist it tight so i could spin.

then i was only good for about 3 rotations until i stopped it.

i am pretty sure this one would spin until he puked...

and then laugh about it.
