went to the adirondack museum today.

great history.

very kid friendly.

sam came a cross an old fish camp.

complete with cot, coffee pot, & mugs.

he fixed himself  a cup of coffee,

wandered over to the railing over looking the pond,

and took it all in.

he noticed me taking his picture

and offered me a cup.

such the gentleman.

all while surfing the net on the mac book air.

we stopped by today on our way through utica.

it was aunt val's birthday so we stayed for a while to celebrate.

aunt lou looks good.

her eyes lit up when she saw all of the kids.

she remembered charlie right off.

we chatted.

we sang.

we ate cake.

we gave lots of hugs.

she told sam a story.

she told me to keep the girls away from charlie.

she thinks nicklaus is a lover.

the boys keep her in their prayers every night.

they seem to be working.

it was good for them to see her.

she is loved.

 

 

i don't know what else to say.

just go.

we spent the day exploring the national park.

listening to the falls.

getting soaked by the mist.

it was just breath taking.

we started the day finding an italian bakery for breakfast.

then onto wind of the caverns walk.

a trolley ride and aquarium visit.

back to the park for sunset at the falls.

playing tag on the soft grass.

feeling the power and rumble of the falls.

taking in all of the beauty.

being with family.

 

everyday sam has homework with the biggins.

he takes an ar test everyday too.

he searches for his book in the morning so he can take his test when he gets to school.

whatever they are doing, he climbs up at the table and does it, too.

he yells for me to find his homework until i produce something that will occupy him for all of 10 minutes.

luckily today charlie had a coloring sheet like nicklaus' that he wasn't going to have time to do.

all i needed to do was produce crayons...lovely.
