highlight of the day...

squid dissection.

next was the hermit crab lab.

after class they each got to pick their crab for a race.

charlie's didn't even get past the start line.

onto packing up the rooms.

turkey tacos for lunch...

pb&j for charlie.

good byes to our awesome counselors.

7 hours home.

amazing trip!

charlie's favorite day.

6 hours on a boat.

snorkeling.

exploring coral reefs.

going closer to shore to collect ocean treasures.

lobsters.

puffer fish.

sea biscuits.

queen conch.

lunch break between the two 3 hour trips.

night class on plankton and night adaptation of sea animals.

he loved it all.

the day started with the presentation of homemade gifts
& cards.
on to church to celebrate with all of my beautiful momma friends.
linner from carrabba's and a beautifully decorated cake from charlie for dessert.
finished up the evening with a fabulous performance from charlie.

my day was almost as full as my heart.

he hurt his head jumping into the pool.

not that he told anyone until he got out.

thank goodness grandma had her ice pack.

grandpa filled it with fresh ice.

long face and sad eyes for about 5 minutes...

that was all the cold he could take.

 

school talent show tonight.

nicklaus, michelle, and aden tore it up with moves like jagger...

kidz bop version.

of course, the coffee grinder was the highlight.

charlie mc'd with katelynn the 2nd half of the show.

not even a bum mike could quiet him.

the evening started with a game of uno while i got dinner ready.

sam liked to change color.

the next magical color is.....

the suspense was palpable.
