he would have had more fun at field day today.

all the kids are looking down field at sam trying to finish the task.

tom is at the end helping sam out.

sam, in true form, is telling tom to back off.

all of the kids were laughing and cheering sam on.

nicklaus was awesome with sam today.

he loves "his baby".

his butter tower is just falling over.

he is going to have to build it again.

something to do while waiting for our chocolate chip panpakes.

we built three more before moving on to jelly container castles.

 

 

...is funnier than

a rope swing breaking,

someone falling in a mud puddle,

a man getting pantsed by a cat,

a trampoline trick gone awry,

a dog sliding on ice,

or a baby giggling uncontrollably

to a dad & his boys watching afv.

every few months sam gets a baby animal magazine/book from his grandma and grandpa in the mail.

his came today before lunch.

he loves to hear the stories, do the eye spies, count and find letters.

he learned all of his letters and sounds about 9 months ago.

he is now into spelling every word he sees.

he own version of eye spy.

his favorites are e-x-i-t and s-t-o-p.

if you ask him his name chances are he will respond s-a-m.

but his favorite word to say right now is n-o, just ask his daddy.

 

we did it last year too.

rent a boat for a week.

the older boy cousins like to fish early morning.

the little girl cousins like to tube and cruise later in the day.

my boys like to do it all.

we can come and go from the dock as we please.

uncle tom is the driver.

aunt jenni is the life line to the tuber.

the daredevils and sunday cruisers are along for the ride.
