from the amount of excitement in their voices,

i knew i should brace myself.

sam rushed out in his socks.

middle was amazed at the frost on the grass.

charlie scraped a message into the icy windshield.

that is about as close as these florida boys will get to frozen precipitation this year.

i didn't mind the excitement...

just wish i could have finished my cup of coffee before i spilled it.

 

middle was anxious to get to church tonight.

mr. bruce always has a klondike bar for a birthday treat.

last year he didn't get one.

if mr. bruce had realized he had forgotten...

he probably would have given him two.

middle was all about the treat...

not so much about the birthday serenade.

he recovered quickly to blow out his trick candle again and again and demolish the much anticipated delicacy.
