he was so excited for his first preschool show.

singing the songs everyday.

all day.

counting sleeps until the big day.

he sang every word, loudly.

creeped, sneaked, and spooked, emphatically.

got to lead his class on and off the gazebo stage.

lovin' the limelight.

 

he didn't have his own.

he wanted one like nicklaus.

he picked it out online last week.

it came today.

happiest boy in the house.

he leaves the bat and tennis ball in the flower bed.

when he has 5 minutes or the hoodlums are stationed at our house...

he practices.

he throws up the ball and whacks it.

it is usually followed by a

"hey guys, look how far i can hit it!"

they all stop what they are doing and ohh and ahh.

then just like that,

they are gone.

practice is over.

cup filled.

my sporty one.

wearing a pink headband.

wrapped in his purple blanket.

quizzing his dad on the periodic chart after dinner.

smart and fashionable.

he had his shirt on all day.

though church.

his nap.

playing wii.

eating dinner.

why?

nicklaus wasn't home.

he went to cassie's after church and didn't come home until after lads to leaders.

as soon as he walked in,

in true nicklaus fashion,

the shirt came off.

then so did sam's.

someone has a bit of a crush on his big brother right now...

i hope he doesn't start dropping his r's too.
