walking out after church tonight.

at first we didn't see it.

someone pointed it out to us.

it had been raining since 1 so we were just glad to get to the car dry.

it got better though.

as we pulled out of the parking lot, we saw it's double.

as we kept driving towards home, the double 1/2 rainbow turned into a full double arch.

big and middle were so excited.

craning their necks to folllow it.

pushing their face against the glass to see where it went.

something about a rainbow just makes you...

happy.

charlie is an anchor on the school news this week.

sam & i have watched every morning in nicklaus' classroom.

he plays remember when the rest of the day.

hey mom. remember when charlie said...

are you smarter than a fifth grader.

uh huh.

yeah, that was funny.

or

mom, charlie was on lnn today, remember?

yep.

today we happen to be walking out to the car as charlie was exiting the studio.

sam about knocked him over when he saw him.

charlie! i saw you on the tv. on lnn.

we might have to think about putting up a velvet rope...

or something.

jamming to the glee tunes.

on ashley's iphone.

picks his favorites.

sings the words.

does his version of the coffee grinder, alligator, and his personal favorite...

shake a baby booty.

his favorite tunes include the following lyrics...

appropriate for a three year old?

probably not.

he is just so stinkin' cute singing them.

i got to tell you a secret.

he proceeds to put his ear against yours.

talks in his quietest voice.

and whispers off the back of your head.

then pulls back and looks you straight in the eyes and says...

ok?

i never have a clue what is said.

clearly brooks does though.

it is good to have a friend to share your secrets with.

delivering some pictures to our neighbors.

saw another family out walking.

his natural instinct is to run and join the party.

luckily i was there...

trying to capture a last light picture.

pretty sure if i wasn't,

he would have joined the family walk.

making sure they returned home safely.

not a care in the world.

only to come home 30 minutes later.

apologizing profusely.

promising to never to do it again...
