almost.

we went out on mikey c's boat tonight.

tom and the biggins decided to jump in.

a strong current almost carried them out of the bay and into the gulf.

nothing a calm captain, rope and life preserver didn't remedy.

after every one was back on board,

we cooked out,

fished,

caught crabs in nets,

and just relaxed with friends and family.

it couldn't have been a more perfect night.

beautiful weather.

epic sunset.

making memories.

the best chips.

i love how they make you pucker & then immediatley want another one.

nicklaus enjoys them like his momma.

digging the crumbs out of the corner of the empty bag.

and then the...

 pucker.

yum!

don't fall for the big eyes,

pudgy 3 year old hands,

or those cute little lips.

he is da boss.

he gets his way.

he is loud and ornery until he does.

he tells you what to do.

he screams at the boys with this awful screech until i yell...

"just give it to him!"

we have all given in to him,

but as cute as he is...

it just might be time to nip it in the bud!

 

 

this is what was waiting for us when we got home from dropping the boys at school.

things like this don't freak me out.

i stay calm and we observe.

sam was content hanging out with the 4 foot 'nake.

his 3 year old logic was that it came to have a party with the toy green snake left outside.

he was fine until the 'nake started exploring the wall.

you can just see his expression.

after that i got a palm frond and shooed it on.

we watched it slither up the hose well,

out the back,

and into the bushes.

sure did beat paying busch gardens $50 to see the same rat snake sleep.

he has been working on it for 3 weeks at lads to leaders.

yellow eye patch,

red and green tinsel hair,

parrot on his shoulder...

fits him to a tee.
