birds eye view

great day today at the enchanted forest.

sam rocked the little water slides.

the bigs did it all including the scrambler in the back.

best shot of the day from the ferris wheel..

looking down.

sam sang the entire 10 minutes on the ride...

uuuup.

doooowwwwn.

we could see what we had done and where we wanted to go.

sam's pick?

back to the water slides.

pies

DSC_3547
same game my cousins and i played growing up.

now our kids play.

off our grandpa's front steps.

now my mom's.

if your on the steps, you have to "put a pie in your head."

"it" has to start naming pies.

if yours is called,

the chase around the trees is on.

back to the steps is safe or...

your it.

same rules.

same pies.

same fun.

who doesn't love some pie?

more cousins =

more summer fun.

they swam to the dock.

jumped off the diving board like a bunch of crazies.

all three boys and mia.

they even got their momma to do it their third time out...

once.

they created 38 sand castles.

just to do this.

the boys,

stuck behind the fence,

watching mia,

smack it to left field,

and make a double.

not fun for them...

but the picture was priceless.

...in fashion.

who doesn't wish they could pull off christmas jams,

crocs,

and a spiderman cape?

vs. working on it.

he was totally relaxed.

watching little bear.

3 months later than his bigs.

he could care.

charlie had swim lessons today,

in lake george,

perfecting his strokes,

and sam wanted to take some, too.

luckily, there was a  3-5 year old class but...

it wasn't for an hour.

so we crafted.

"is it time for my lesson yet?"

we played on the playground.

"now mommy?"

we walked to our chairs to suit up.

"hurry mom. we are going to be late!"

he walked to the edge of the dock.

jumped right in to his teacher.

first time with out his life jacket.

didn't even look over his shoulder at me.

the one time i encouraged him,

he hushed me explaining he had to listen to his teacher.

he couldn't have been any prouder of himself when he walked out of the lake 30 minutes later with blue lips...

and neither could we.
