this is the face

of a boy

who just hit

his first ball

over

the

fence.

wasn't his fault.

it was his gloves.

he got underneath a pop fly & his glove was too small.

m~what?

n~ i put the glove in front of my face and the ball dropped beside it and hit my mouth because it was too small.

m~ too small or you didn't open it wide enough?

n~ *sheepish grin*.

nothing a gatorade and bubble gum couldn't cure.

back on the field in 5 minutes.

boy down.

everyone else washing hands.

its going around.

just an annoying nauseous feeling.

puts you in your boots.

'specially when you wake up at 4:22...

and claim you can't go back to sleep.

he lasted 5 minutes in the car on the way to drama kids tonight.

home with momma tomorrow.

neighborhood picnic today.

massive rain = wash out.

not for the die-hards though.

mrs. rice stepped in to host it at her house.

not everyone came.

but enough.

the kids ate and then disappeared outside.

no spiderman...

they entertained themselves.

the adults came out to play corn hole.

the kids joined in.

they couldn't run through until the beanbag left the adults hand.

if it hit you...

you were out.

everybody was having fun.
