he had 4 costume changes.

the girls didn't have any.

the vest was on first.

took it off inside out.

needed it for a change, pulled it on over his head...

inside out and backwards.

he tried to tuck the tags when he first realized it.

after 30 seconds of nonchalantly fidgeting,

he let it go.

focused on his lines and words.

the show must go on.

i was out the door with them this morning.

home this afternoon for about 20 minutes...

left again before they got home from school.

not home for the night until after they were in bed.

i did not have to see them living the life of boys in my house today...

they left proof.

this one doesn't have many memories without him.

neither do the other two.

he happens to be the dad of two of my three's best friends.

also happens to be married to mine.

today he made sam's shoes jump higher and run faster.

today he gave charlie the ability to walk a lap without pain.

he would say it's no big deal.

i beg to differ.

he just got them today.

i kept referring to them as his new kicks.

right before nap time dad called...

dad guess what?

i got new kicks today.

kicks mean awesome new shoes.

he proudly showed them off to anyone who walked in the door today.

who doesn't love new shoes?

they loved it.
