he might not have been getting his way...
not really sure.
he is so hard to read.
a frame a day
the elliot's years in pictures

we played our friends son's team tonight for first place.
we cheered ari on when he hit.
whooped and hollered for him when he made a catch.
felt his heart ache on an out.
that's what it is all about at this level of baseball.
the coaches get it.
the parents get it.
that and they all look so cute in those darn pants and caps.

pickle's team won though.
someone had to.
they will still play together tomorrow...
in the carpool on the way to school,
all weekend in the hood,
next week and the weeks to follow.
that's what it is all about at this age.
day to day.
enjoying your people.
having fun.

he finds me after his nap.
stumbling out of his room.
ready for his post nap snuggle.
he used to cuddle in for a good 10 minutes...
now i'm lucky to get 1 or 2.
he feels so good all warm and cozy.
he climbs up.
burrows in.
zones out.
then he pops his head up and asks what the rest of our day entails...
ruining my moment.

not an usual sight in my house.
they can not take them off at the same time in the same place.
they kick off their shoes as soon as they walk in the house.
then they peel off the socks...
in the laundry room,
walking through the kitchen,
sitting at the table doing homework..
they are then throw in different directions...
over the shoulder,
high into the air,
at an unsuspecting passer byer.
only to be kicked about...
in the hallway,
stuck under the kitchen counter,
stuffed beneath the couch.
oh the day in the life of a sock in the elliott household.

the first tuesday of every month i get to help in his classroom.
today was the first day.
i got the tour of the playground.
we "drove" to the farm.
played basketball.
built a sandcastle.
sang on a stage.
then inside for puzzles, snacks, & crafts.
now i have a better idea of his day...
the part without me on tuesdays and thursdays.
he liked having mommy as his teacher.
i liked getting a glimpse of him at "big boy school".
can't wait until 12/6.
