he is my shadow.

he talks all day long.

not just to me...

to everybody.

he longs for interaction.

he responds to mickey and dora when they ask a question on the tv.

he engages me.

he helps me remember why i stay home.

to be a mom.

a job i take seriously.

i am a self professed over committed sahm.

i need to refocus on the sahm part of my day.

he helps me slow down,

so i don't miss these moments.

p.s. these little hands get me every time!

it is the highlight of his week.

he sings.

he dances.

he uses his imagination.

he plays the guitar and drums.

ms. bobbi is the best.

she keeps them in line with her sweet voice.

he talks about her all week...

anticipating the next class.

he ends up humming and singing the songs the rest of the day.

this quarter has a song with these little fish.

today they went to work, came home for lunch and jumped out of the water.

i don't have the heart to tell him we don't have class next week.

thank goodness he doesn't have any concept of time yet.

 

found a fly in the window sill at church tonight.

it was dead.

better for the bug that way.

he flew him around the room.

he said it had to pee.

so he took it to the bathroom.

he talked to it like a friend.

he had just come in for a landing when mrs. jodie came up behind him and scared him.

the head popped off.

it lost it's usefulness.

he pounded it to smithereens.

see...

I am sitting in for my wife Jen with todays post. She is in Ocala taking a photography class with her mentor Karen Russell. She is having dinner with Karen tonight and is absolutely giddy with anticipation. Karen's work inspired Jen to do " a frame a day".

At any rate Charlie , Nicklaus and Michelle Dipuma from down the street conspired to do their rendition of the song " Billionaire". Charlie was the lead and Michelle and Nicklaus danced and did the rap in the background.

They had a blast!

Charlie is way in his element up there... I was cracking up as he broke into "EVERY TIME I CLOSE MY EYES" Nicklaus and Michelle were great too. The house erupted when Nicklaus busted out his Coffee Grinder move from his Hip Hop Class.

then the announcement for cake was made.

he told me i should have at least one good one so we can stop now.

almost like he has been stuck up there with velcro.
